Chinking

We offer a variety of sand techniques developed in response to clients who wanted the elastic properties of the synthetic chinking with the look of old mortar. We mix sand in with the chink material for a look that is in keeping with the rustic genre of most log homes. We can also mix in a larger stone aggregate so that the chink looks like old mortar found on historic buildings.

Customers also have choices in the style of the application which can vary from smooth, clean, straight lines to roughed-up chinking with trowel marks so that it looks as though the product was applied by hand.

We use only the best log home products available from Permachink and Sashco. Permachink products are available for purchase at Refuge Sustainable Building Center in Bozeman.
